Lawrence and Brett

Painter Dorothy Brett traveled to Mexico with writer D.H. Lawrence and his wife Frieda in 1924. In this work, first published in 1933, she reminisces about the trip in vignettes addressed to the then-deceased Lawrence, to whom she was clearly devoted.
