"The four knitters of the Heavenly Hugs Prayer Shawl Ministry are stuck . . . in a stagnant church, a comfortable mold of ministry, and the points of pain that hold each of them back. Until, that is, Father Pete shakes them up by insisting that they meetnot at church but in public at the local mall (for heaven's sake) where anything can happen-this while the Lady's Chapel where they normally meet is painted. The church needs more than a face-lift, however. The congregation is dwindling to the point thatthe bishop has charged Father Pete with either reviving Hope of Glory or closing it by year's end"--
