Rather than a chronological approach, Doherty (retired, literary theory, U. of Turku, Finland) proceeds from a prism of vantage points in critiquing Lawrence's Women in Love , Sons and Lovers , Lady Chatterley's Lover , The Rainbow , and several short stories. Rhetorical, structuralist, deconstructive, feminist, and psychoanalytic approaches are applied to Lawrence's eternal traingle of love, sex, and death.
