Listen to the Wool shows spinners how to work with a fleece to find what type of yarn it is best suited to become. By investigating wool preparation from a technical, cognitive, sensory, and spiritual perspective, the reader will be able to confidently make decisions to create a wool's best yarn.
Instead of approaching spinning with the end result in mind and forcing a fleece to meet that goal, e.g., a sport-weight sock yarn, Listen to the Wool shows spinners how to work with a fleece to find what type of yarn it is best suited to become. By investigating wool preparation from a technical, cognitive, sensory, and spiritual perspective, the reader will be able to confidently make decisions to create a wool's best yarn, allowing it to shine. The book will encourage readers to "do" the "don'ts," challenge their preconceptions, embrace their mistakes, and enjoy the full journey of fleece to yarn.
