Grown out of a Lancet Commission to look at the future of health and economic resiliency of Africa, The Future of Health and Economic Resiliency takes a multidisciplinary approach across numerous sectors of analysis, central to Africa's future well-being. This book serves as a comprehensive analysis of the current state of the continent and what actions can be taken to improve health and resiliency moving forward. While previous analysis has been done regionally within the continent (sub-Saharan Africa, for example) or by specific health needs (HIV or poverty, for example), this book will be the first to synthesize a cross sector approach pan-Africa. By describing the context and through actionable solutions for the future, this book sets the framework for a more resilient Africa and global future.
